This hands-on training covers every stage of the export process, from evaluating market potential to identifying buyers, developing pricing strategies, protecting intellectual property, and ensuring compliance with international regulations.

This workshop is ideal for small business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs who are new to exporting or looking to expand their business into international markets. Participants should be U.S.-based businesses with an interest in global growth and a commitment to learning the fundamentals of successful exporting.
Program Delivery & Dates:
The Export Essentials Workshop will be delivered in person in Bakersfield, CA on April 3-4, 2025. The session is facilitated by experienced trade professionals and includes lectures, case studies, interactive exercises, and practical resources that participants can apply directly to their business plans.
Target Audience:
The program specifically targets small businesses and entrepreneurs, including those from underserved, rural, and immigrant-owned enterprises, who are ready to explore export opportunities and build an export-ready business. The training is suitable for a wide range of industries, with customized content to address unique challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

- Cost: The cost is $50 per person and includes lunch for each day.
- Space: Space is limited to 25 pre-registered participants per location.
Participation Criteria:
- Company is a Small Business headquartered in California.
- Company has been in business for at least one year.
- Company meets U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) size standards.
- Company intends to export U.S. goods or services with at least 51% U.S. content.
